WELCOME TO THE GALESBURG BASSMASTERS
Thank you for visiting the Galesburg Bassmasters website. Please visit out links to find out all about us. We were founded in 1976 by 10 avidly dedicated fishermen. Our members range from retired individuals to young college students and they all come from many different areas in central Illinois. Galesburg, Monmouth, Geneseo, Farmington, Kewanee, Quad Cities, Woodhull, Reynolds, Dahinda, Annawan, Avon, Knoxville, Abingdon, Peoria and Henderson. The club supports the sport of bass fishing via tournaments as well as our involvement in the community through the annual kids fishing derby at Lake Storey and the national Casting For Kids program. We are affiliated with the T.B.F. inc. and FLW Outdoors and our club is what would be considered a buddy system. There is no drawing for partners, but instead the teams are paired for the whole season based on who you would like to fish and compete with. All of our tournaments have a 100% plus payback plus an additional big bass award. Our annual fee is $65.00 and we hold a monthly meeting the first Tuesday of every month starting at 7:00pm at Crappy’s Sports Pub in Galesburg. Boat launch order is drawn at the meeting prior to the tournament and this year we are holding eight tournaments all within a three hour travel time. This way it is possible for an individual to enjoy the sport of bass fishing, while having a job and family. Approximately half of our tournaments are held on the Mississippi River, while the others are at reservoirs within a reasonable driving distance. Points are awarded as a team and are tallied for season ending awards as well as qualifications for the state six man teams. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Thanks from the Galesburg Bassmasters.

On Sunday July 13th, 2008 the Galesburg Bassmasters held a tournament on the Mississippi River - Pool 13 - Savanna. The conditions were very tough, but a few teams were able to figure it out and brought in some quality bags. Coming in first was the team of Joe Szaltis & Luke Berry with a six fish limit that weighed 14.31 lbs. Congratulations guys! Final results can be found by clicking on the results tab.
